Title: Internal Audit Internship

Internship Overview

The Internal Audit Department in Mediolanum requires a resource to assist the senior internal auditors in the management of internal audit activities and completion of Internal audit annual plan

• Assist senior internal auditors in planning, designing and executing Internal Audit activities in accordance with the Internal Audit Methodology adopted and the annual internal audit plan.
• Evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the Companies’ internal controls and processes/procedures.
• Working closely with internal audit team to understand and evaluate business risks to ensure the minimisation of risks and the enhancement of controls.
• Updating the status of the internal audit findings and recommendations on a regular basis.
• Assist senior internal auditors in preparation of quarterly internal audit and Board/Audit Committee reports.
• Liaising with Group Internal Audit (Milan) for Group projects and monthly/quarterly reporting requirements.
• Assist in the development of Internal Audit departmental audit methodologies and tools.
• Build effective relationships with senior management, stakeholders and internal audit team.
• Performing ad hoc projects as required. 

Qualifications/Requirements

• Understanding of Financial services key products/instrument, business processes and procedures, and the internal controls framework thereof
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including report writing skills
• Intermediate experience working with Microsoft office
• Ability to work on own and pro-active in the area of change /process improvement
• Italian language would be a distinct advantage.
